Curved Biophilic Timber Arc: Calvary Carpentry at Archidex 2025

At Archidex 2025, Calvary Carpentry unveiled a curved timber arc installation, featuring fire-resistant timber shingles inspired by one of the company’s award-winning green projects, the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree. This showcase celebrates Southeast Asia’s biophilic future through sustainable timber architecture and highlights the company’s advanced timber craftsmanship, including timber stretching and modular construction techniques.

The design reflects a growing shift toward nature-integrated, climate-conscious architecture, and is crafted in collaboration with ONEWOOD Timber. The arc features beautifully homogeneous timber grains, engineered for durability, fire resistance, and termite resistance, vital for performance in regional climates.

Certified by the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) and aligned with the Singapore Green Plan 2030, the materials exemplify a commitment to both design excellence and environmental responsibility. The full-scale mockup at Archidex 2025 offers a glimpse into what the future of regenerative timber design looks like.
